First time here, so I hope this isn't a redundant thread, and I am in the right place.
I have a 2002 Ford Focus with a 4.0 split port engine and 5 speed transmission. Was bought new and maintained well, but has about 68000 miles. I travel a lot. Recently, if I am going up a hill in any gear and try to accelerate, the car jumps and bucks. You can feel the gas pedal jump. It also seemed to lose power. I changed the oil, air filter, and put fuel injector cleaner in the tank. That seemed to help with the loss of power, but it still kicks and bucks when accelerating on hills. Cold or hot doesn't matter...does it all the time.
Anyone have any ideas? I am no mechanic, and know little about modern engines. Last think I worked on had a carb.
