i noticed today that i have lost all of my warning lights that would come on when you start your car. and my heat gauge doesn't work and my gas gauge is stuck 3/4 of a tank. is this afuse if so where is it i have checked the owners manual and i didn't see any thing about it

I don't know about the Contour, but the Ford's I have had experience with have a voltage regulator on the back of the instrument panel. If this goes out, all of the electrical indications on the panel will be dead. It's just a small relay looking block located on the back of the panel.
