PLEASE Help!!
I am at my witts end with and 88 F150, I had a new 302 engine installed,New clutch, manifold reinforced etc. the problem is: the truck starts fine every morning then about 20 mins into the ride the tach starts going up and down in almost a rhythmic motion, then the truck hesitates as I move of then it starts sputtering ( I mean bad) then it shuts off,(Full of gas) sometimes and I do mean sometimes it'll start right back up only to get progressivlly worse and eventually leave me stranded for at least and hour. I just as of last week had the fuel sender and fuel relay replaced, the front tank fuel pump was replaced 2 years ago but as I recall it wasn't a Ford part it was an aftermarket unit, could this be the problem? or could it be the computer (D.M.E) at fault do these units fail? where should I start? I have had three different mechanics unable to find out what the problem was .
