97 F-150 ABS light & stuck in park |
Lead | |

I have a 97 F-150 with an abs light on and it is stuck in park. I drove the vehicle the evening before with no indication of anything going wrong. Went out the next morning to start it and ABS light started blinking. Next thing I noticed, I couldn't put the vehicle in gear. Anyone got any Ideas???

Yup, it has a blown fuse and it keeps blowing the same one. It's my suspicion that it may have to do with the condition of the rear brake shoes. (maybe worn beyond limits?) Could this be an indicator of worn out brake shoes? My local garage can't get my ABS computer to comunicate with their diagnostic computer.. Another SNAFU in a series of them... I guess the only way to prove my theory is to pull the rear wheels off and the remove the hubs. I can then inspect the rear brake shoes... Boy! When this truck works right it's great but, when it's broke it SUCKS!!! Fordfool....
