When I'm driving the car does get warm a little but as soon as I stop there no heat generated from the vents. Could my car need antifreeze or is this another problem.
We have a Ford Escort motor fitted to a small Alto floor sweeper. We had the motor rebuilt recently and ever since it is very very very smokey when first started. After running for no more than a few minutes it stops smoking! We took the head back off to make sure the valves and valve stem seals were ok so no problems there. It does not use excessive oil and the motor runs strong and quiet ALL day. Any ideas??? It seems to be at its worst when the motor has been stopped overnight and then run...

Hello, I am new to the forums. My name is Scott, I live in central New York.

So here is what happened. Yesterday I was driving my 1996 Escort LX hatchback to work. It has a 1.9 liter engine with a 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. So anyway, I was on my way to work and I heard a odd noise. I pulled over to the side of the road, and it looked like I had smoked my tires, but I could smell it was transmission fluid. I did not see any leaks, but I figured I better shut off the car...

There is also a black box with three wires coming from the main wire bundle that connects to this terminal. One of the wires came loose(corrided) and will not connect to this box anymore. My speedomater stopped working after I made the repair. Does this inline box have anything to do with the speedometer? Is this box part of the negative wire assmbly? I appreciate any feed back.
Hello,

New to the forum. Looking for a little help. I have a 98 Escort Wagon with 87,000 miles. It is recommended to change the plugs at 105,000 miles. With gasoline prices so high, I wondered if my mileage might improve by changing the plugs, wires and fuel filter? I already put a K&N air filter. Any other ideas to improve gas mileage ?
