By this I mean that the interior lights go on and the after about 30 seconds, they dim down and shut off. I have not been able to see how often this has happened, but after 2 days of sitting, it will kill the battery. I have applied sound deading material on the front and rear seat floors, but it hasn't helped much. I have new tires that are balanced properly. I just get a lot of road noise while driving on the freeway. I've read others comment about excessive road noise in the Escape, but haven't heard any solutions.

Thanks.

One week later I had just started to leave and all the idiot lights came on, which is what happened right before it shut off while I was driving, so I stopped the car immediately and now it won't start.
